At 6:00 p.m. on January 5, the great Parade will depart from Elche Park and end at the Julio Iglesias auditorium, where the Kings will hand out gifts.
Their Majesties have already chosen their emissaries: Juan Barroso, Michel Acosta and Pedro Rostoll 'Menotti'.
Benidorm is now ready to welcome the Three Wise Men from the East, who will arrive in the city next Sunday, January 5, accompanied by a thousand people. This was announced today by the mayor, Toni Pérez, who, together with the Councillor for Festivals, Mariló Cebreros, explained that the city is already finalising preparations for the great Parade in which, in a few days, their Majesties will parade through the streets of Benidorm.
Preparations are already being overseen by the emissaries of Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar, whose names the mayor has revealed today. Specifically, King Melchor has appointed Juan Barroso as his right-hand man in the important task of organising the delivery of gifts to the people of Benidorm; while King Gaspar has placed his trust in Michel Acosta and King Baltasar in Pedro Rostoll 'Menotti'.
Toni Pérez has reported that, as usual, the Three Wise Men will arrive in Benidorm following the route marked out for them by the Christmas Star, which will be in charge of opening “the spectacular” Cavalcade, which is already “a reference point in the province of Alicante, not only for those of us who live here but also for many people who accompany us these days”.
As usual, the Parade on January 5th will be divided into two parts: the first is a fun part, in which the main characters are the characters from children's films and series; and the second, more traditional part, in which the tale 'The Story of the Three Wise Men from the East' is recreated.
In addition to the more than 700 people who make up their Majesties' entourage, there are five dance troupes, 10 floats and five musical groups from Benidorm: the Unión Musical, the Societat Musical l'Illa, the Societat Musical La Nova, the Tropical band and the Colla de Xirimiters de la Marina. And so on until reaching a thousand people.
As is tradition, the musical groups will perform the adaptation of the symphonic suite 'The Three Wise Men', written especially for the Parade by the composer from Benidorm, Francisco José Rovira Peretó. This 'suite' is structured in six parts following the layout of the tale: 'The Story of the Three Wise Men', such as 'The Star and the Birth', 'Herod', 'The Shepherds', 'The Arab Souk', 'The Royal Entourage' and, finally, 'The Three Wise Men'.
The parade will leave at 6:00 p.m. from Elche Park and from there will proceed along Avenida de Los Almendros, Calle Marte, Calle Venus, Calle Ruzafa and Calle Herrerías, Plaza de SSMM Reyes de España and Parque de l'Aigüera until reaching the Julio Iglesias auditorium, where "a multimedia show and the launching of a fireworks display" are planned and where Their Majesties will distribute gifts to the boys and girls.
Toni Pérez has asked the emissaries to “warn Their Majesties that the entrance to the auditorium via the central ramp of the Julio Iglesias is impressive”, and that this descent “is the most exciting thing they will experience”. From the start, the three emissaries have shown great excitement about participating in the Parade and accompanying Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar.
The Royal Camp and Postman
Preparations to welcome the Three Wise Men from the East will be coordinated from the Royal Camp, which is already set up in the gardens of the Plaza SSMM Reyes de España. Very close by, in the Plaza de la Navidad, this afternoon from 18:00 hours the Royal Postman will be stationed to collect the letters that the little ones have written to their Majesties; a visit that will be repeated this afternoon, Friday, and tomorrow, Saturday, the 4th.
BENIDORM: Major Music Festival Returns for 2026
The city of Benidorm is preparing for another busy summer season with the return of the Indiverso Festival, scheduled for 18 July 2026 at the SkyFest venue. Organisers say the event will feature leading indie artists and DJs and is expected to attract thousands of visitors to the resort.
Local officials say the festival forms part of a broader cultural programme aimed at strengthening Benidorm’s reputation as one of Spain’s leading entertainment destinations.
Meanwhile, the city continues to promote its Poniente district redevelopment, with luxury residential towers and smart-city infrastructure positioning the area as a premium investment location on the Costa Blanca.
LA NUCÍA: International Rally Event Returns
Motorsport fans will soon be heading to La Nucía as the Rallye La Nucía Mediterráneo prepares to return to the region. The rally is considered one of the most exciting sporting events on the Costa Blanca calendar and attracts drivers and spectators from across Europe.
Local authorities expect the event to provide a significant boost to tourism and hospitality businesses across the Marina Baixa region.

The coastal town of Altea continues to maintain its reputation as one of the Costa Blanca’s cultural hubs, hosting exhibitions and concerts throughout the year. The municipality of Finestrat continues to see strong interest from international property buyers, particularly those seeking homes close to Benidorm’s beaches while living in a quieter setting.
Analysts say the wider Costa Blanca property market remains attractive to foreign buyers, though the market has become more selective and data-driven as investors look for long-term value.
Local planners say residential development in the area continues to expand alongside tourism and commercial infrastructure.
