The streets of l’Alfàs del Pi blazed with light, rhythm and excitement this week as the spectacular correfocs — a dazzling fire run performed by the renowned Colla Dimonis de Mislata — filled the town with pyrotechnic energy. The group, one of the most celebrated in the Valencian Community, delivered a breathtaking display as part of the Jubilee and Holy Christ of Good Fortune festivities.
The performance blended fire, music and movement to create an extraordinary sensory experience that captivated both residents and visitors. As the parade unfolded, demons and fantastical figures from the Colla Dimonis de Mislata danced through the streets, accompanied by the beat of drums and a shower of sparks, transforming the town into a scene of light and magic.
The correfoc — or “fire run” — remains one of the most anticipated highlights of the festival calendar, a deeply rooted Valencian tradition symbolising energy, purification and collective joy. Its return to l’Alfàs del Pi once again showcased the enduring popularity and emotional intensity of this unique cultural spectacle, where community participation lies at its heart.
The Department of Festivals at l’Alfàs del Pi Town Council expressed its gratitude to the Colla Dimonis de Mislata for their collaboration, and to the public for their enthusiasm and responsible participation, which ensured a safe and unforgettable night during the Jubilee celebrations.
