L’Alfàs del Pi | 31 October 2025
L’Alfàs del Pi will become the heart of Spanish cricket this weekend as it hosts the 2025 National Cricket League Finals at the Woodbridge Oval in Albir, the town’s municipal cricket ground and home of the Sporting Alfàs Cricket Club.
The finals will take place on today, Saturday 1 and tomorrow Sunday 2 November, bringing together four regional champions: the Costa del Sol Cricket Club (Andalusia), the Mallorca Cricket Club (Balearic Islands), Pakicare Badalona CC (Catalonia), and the Sporting Alfàs Cricket Club (Valencian Community).
Over the course of the weekend, seven matches will be played — from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on today and 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday — culminating in the grand final at 1:00 p.m., where two teams will battle for the national title.
The winners will be crowned Spanish Champions and go on to represent Spain in the 2026 European Cricket Club Championship (ECL), organised by the European Cricket Network in collaboration with Cricket Spain, where 35 of Europe’s top cricket clubs will compete.
The trophy and medals for this year’s final have been specially designed and crafted in India for Cricket Spain, adding a unique touch to what promises to be an exciting weekend of top-level cricket.
