From today, June 1, the number of trips on lines 21, 23 and 24 of TAM in Alicante will increase
The measure responds to the increase in demand recorded on these lines in the last year.
The Ministry of the Environment, Infrastructure and Territory is reinforcing, from today, June 1, the Alicante Metropolitan Transport (TAM) service, with an increase in frequencies on lines 21, 23 and 24.
This measure responds to the significant increase in demand registered on these lines in the last year, with the aim of improving the quality of the service and better adapting to the mobility needs of users.
On line 21, which connects Alicante with El Campello, there will be an increase of seven trips on Saturdays until June 23. From June 24, during summer weekdays, five additional trips will be added.
On the other hand, line 23 between Alicante and Mutxamel will have its offer significantly increased. During the summer period, from June 24 to July 31 and from September 1 to 7, 16 trips will be added from Monday to Friday, 19 on Saturdays and 21 on Sundays and holidays. In August, the improvement will be even more significant, with a total of 29 new trips on weekdays, maintaining the reinforcements of 19 and 21 trips on Saturdays, and Sundays and holidays, respectively. In the rest of the year, the line will increase its service with 20 trips on weekdays, six on Saturdays and seven on Sundays and holidays.
Line 24, which connects Alicante with San Vicente del Raspeig, will also see a significant boost. Between June 24 and July 31, as well as from September 1 to 7, 31 new trips will be added on weekdays, 23 on Saturdays and 26 on Sundays and holidays. During the month of August, the service will increase with 38 additional trips during the week, in addition to maintaining the same reinforcements for Saturdays and Sundays. For the rest of the year, this line will have 26 trips from Monday to Friday, 17 on Saturdays and 11 on Sundays and holidays.
With this progressive improvement of the service, the Generalitat reinforces its commitment to more efficient, sustainable mobility that is adjusted to the reality of the Alicante metropolitan area, responding to growing demand and reinforcing its commitment to public transport.
