


The free shuttle service between Avenida País Valencià and the central beach has begun. The accessible beach service will be expanded to over 60 spaces and will begin today, Sunday. The lifeguard service, already in operation, will be extended to daily service hours starting Monday, June 16.
Villajoyosa begins its 2025 summer beach season with the raising of six Blue Flags and ten Qualitur flags on its beaches and coves. Mayor Marcos Zaragoza, together with the Councillors for Beaches,
Carlos Soler, and Tourism, Rosa Llorca, have placed each of the flags on the corresponding beaches. This summer, Villajoyosa maintains the record number of distinctions recognising the environmental and service quality of its beaches and coastal waters. The Blue Flag is displayed on Bol Nou, Centro, La Caleta, Paradís, Varadero, and El Torres beaches, and the Qualitur flag is displayed on El Xarco, La Caleta, Bol Nou, Paradís, L'Esparrelló, Carritxal, Centro, Varadero, El Torres, and Racó del Conill.
Tomorrow, June 14th, the free shuttle service to Playa Centro from Avenida del País Valencià begins, operating Saturdays and Sundays. Starting June 21st, this shuttle service will operate daily. This year, the schedule has been extended to 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
This Sunday, the accessible beach service begins operating in the Basseta de l'Oli area of Centro Beach, offering uninterrupted service from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. until September 15. This year, the platform has been expanded, doubling its capacity to more than 60 people, who are assisted by qualified professionals and have infrastructure adapted to the needs of its users. In addition, the
Department of Social Services and Equality is offering a free shuttle service to the accessible beach for those with mobility issues from July 1 to August 30.
Starting Monday, June 16, the lifeguard and rescue service will also be extended to daily service at Blue Flag beaches. The water park at Centro Beach is also now operational, offering sun lounger and umbrella rentals. Since June 1, the daily cleaning service on all beaches has been increased to 11 workers.
Mayor Marcos Zaragoza emphasised that "all the beaches are in excellent condition, allowing residents and tourists to enjoy the quality of our waters and the perfect services that guarantee the safety and comfort of bathers at each one. The Beaches and Tourism departments have worked tirelessly to strengthen services at all beaches, especially cleaning services. This has also resulted in the continued maintenance of the number of flags certifying the quality and excellence of each beach."
