The competition will take place from September 19 to 28, when venues will offer cocktails with and without alcohol to win the vote of the public and the jury.
Thirteen hospitality venues in Benidorm are set to participate in the fourth edition of the Benidorm Gastronomic Cocktail Competition, taking place from September 19 to 28. This event marks the penultimate activity in the Benidorm Gastronomic 2025 calendar and was officially presented this afternoon at the Domingo Devesa Tourism Development Center (CDT).
The presentation was attended by Mayor Toni Pérez, Abreca President Francisco Javier del Castillo, event sponsor Licinio García, and several local council members and hospitality representatives. Attendees were among the first to discover the creative cocktail proposals each establishment will present in this year’s competition.
Mayor Pérez praised the high level of innovation and quality in the participating proposals and applauded Abreca’s continued efforts to promote local culinary tourism. “Events like this not only diversify Benidorm’s gastronomic offerings beyond the peak season but also raise their overall quality,” he noted
.
Each venue will present two cocktails:
One alcoholic (€9)
One non-alcoholic (€7)
Visitors can sample and vote for their favorite cocktails by scanning a QR code at the establishment and rating the drink from 1 to 5 stars. Voters who provide their phone number will be entered into a draw to win six cocktail vouchers, redeemable at participating venues.
These public votes will also determine the winner of the "2025 Public Special Mention", awarded to the most popular cocktail, regardless of alcohol content.
In addition to public voting, a professional jury—made up of experts in mixology and hospitality—will evaluate all entries.
Their selections will decide the winners of two key accolades:
“Jury Award for Best Cocktail 2025”
“Jury Special Mention for Best Non-Alcoholic Cocktail 2025”
The winners will be announced on Friday, October 3.
Participating Establishments:
Baldo
Camarote Club

Jolly Rogers
La Pinta
La Pinta Beach
La Terrasse by Port Hotels

Abreca President Javier del Castillo congratulated all participants, especially noting the high participation of hotels (six out of the thirteen) and their impressive contributions. “This year’s cocktails showcase an extraordinary level of creativity. Each edition continues to raise the bar,” he said.
Mayor Pérez also expressed gratitude to Abreca and all involved for their commitment to enhancing Benidorm’s appeal, especially during the post-summer peak season—a period he emphasised now consistently sees high visitor numbers. “Benidorm remains a top-tier destination, and events like these prove why,” he added.
He concluded by inviting both locals and tourists to experience the cocktails and enjoy everything that Benidorm Gastronomic has to offer.
Following the Cocktail Competition, Benidorm Gastronomic 2025 will conclude with its final event: the 14th Earth Rice Festival, taking place from October 17 to 26.

BENIDORM: Major Music Festival Returns for 2026
The city of Benidorm is preparing for another busy summer season with the return of the Indiverso Festival, scheduled for 18 July 2026 at the SkyFest venue. Organisers say the event will feature leading indie artists and DJs and is expected to attract thousands of visitors to the resort.
Local officials say the festival forms part of a broader cultural programme aimed at strengthening Benidorm’s reputation as one of Spain’s leading entertainment destinations.
Meanwhile, the city continues to promote its Poniente district redevelopment, with luxury residential towers and smart-city infrastructure positioning the area as a premium investment location on the Costa Blanca.
LA NUCÍA: International Rally Event Returns
Motorsport fans will soon be heading to La Nucía as the Rallye La Nucía Mediterráneo prepares to return to the region. The rally is considered one of the most exciting sporting events on the Costa Blanca calendar and attracts drivers and spectators from across Europe.
Local authorities expect the event to provide a significant boost to tourism and hospitality businesses across the Marina Baixa region.
ALTEA: Cultural Events Continue to Draw Visitors
The coastal town of Altea continues to maintain its reputation as one of the Costa Blanca’s cultural hubs, hosting exhibitions and concerts throughout the year. Recent cultural programmes include art exhibitions and music performances at local cultural centres designed to promote local artists and international talent.
The town’s historic old quarter and arts scene remain key attractions for both tourists and residents.
ALFAZ DEL PI: Infrastructure Updates and Community Notices
Residents in L'Alfàs del Pi have been notified of scheduled maintenance works affecting electricity supplies in some neighbourhoods this week as part of routine infrastructure upgrades.
Local authorities say the work is necessary to improve reliability across the area’s expanding residential zones.
FINESTRAT: Continued Growth in Property Demand
The municipality of Finestrat continues to see strong interest from international property buyers, particularly those seeking homes close to Benidorm’s beaches while living in a quieter setting.
Analysts say the wider Costa Blanca property market remains attractive to foreign buyers, though the market has become more selective and data-driven as investors look for long-term value.
Local planners say residential development in the area continues to expand alongside tourism and commercial infrastructure.
REGIONAL: Festivals and Spring Celebrations Begin
Across the wider Costa Blanca North, towns are preparing for traditional spring celebrations including Fallas festivals, which bring fireworks, music, and cultural parades to communities throughout the region.
These events mark the start of the region’s busy tourism season, with visitors expected to arrive in large numbers over the coming months.
