Benidorm hosts the first amateur 7-a-side football tournament on 3rd & 4th July

The 1st Amateur Football 7 Tournament 'Benidorm Champions Cup' is born in Benidorm, organised by Aware Sports Experience in collaboration with the Sports Department of the Benidorm City Council, and which will feature the participation of 32 teams that will play the tournament with the 'Format World'.

The Councilor for Sports, Mariló Cebreros, received a visit today from Juanma Cabot and Nico Casado, representatives of the organizing company, to present this new sports initiative that represents another step in the union of the successful combination of sports and tourism.

The tournament will be held on 3rd & 4th July 3, 2021 at the 'Antonio López Guerrero' Soccer Fields in Benidorm and aims to promote sports tourism and, at the same time, activity for athletes in our city. The duration of the tournament will be two days: Saturday, 3rd July& Sunday, 4th July, with hours from 09:00 to 22:00. 

The tournament format will be "World Format". The maximum number of teams will be 32 and the minimum 16. Each team will have a maximum of 15 players, all of them over 18 years of age. On Saturday, 3rd July, the group stage will be played, which guarantees a minimum of three games per registered team, while on Sunday, 4th July, the final stages will be played. 

The registration fee will be €250 Euros per team. The prizes for the first three classified will be €1,500, €750 and €250 euros respectively. Special trophies will also be awarded to the best player, top scorer and goalkeeper with the least thrashed. The winner of the tournament will be invited to participate in the next edition, as well as the team with more than 50% of members registered in Benidorm that best finishes in the table.
