Benidorm City Council has today opened the new incorporation lane to traffic from the Salt de l'Aigua school and sports complex to the N-332 road and the highway. As explained by the mayor of Mobility, José Ramón González de Zárate, with this lane “we remove traffic from the roundabout of Avenida Comunidad Europea by encouraging vehicles leaving the school complex, the Palau d'Esports or the crane enclosure and they want to travel to the Poniente area or take the N-332 or the old AP-7, join these roads directly, without having to access the roundabout ”.

De Zárate has indicated that “apart from decongesting this roundabout, the start-up of the incorporation lane will also give more fluidity to the exit traffic from Salt de l'Aigua, which is usually somewhat denser at rush hour entry and departure from schools in the area, which are attended by about 4,000 male and female students, or when sports competitions are held ”. In addition, with the creation of this lane "the requirement made by the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda is met."

The mayor of Mobility has detailed that this lane has a length of 100 meters and its execution has involved an investment of just over 57,000 euros, included within the project of 'Improving the paving of school areas and other roads'.

Likewise, he recalled that "a few months ago we also created a lane of incorporation from Europa Avenue to the Valencian Community, precisely also with the aim of lightening the traffic of the roundabout that connects with the European Community". After several months open, "we have found that this lane is effectively giving more fluidity to traffic in the area, one of the main access roads to Benidorm".
