The Minister of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda, José Luis Ábalos, said today, Monday, that the state of alarm decreed by the Government could be extend beyond the 15 days required by law, because, in his opinion, these two weeks will not give to Spain the "ability to win the battle" against the coronavirus.

Also, the head of the Interior, Fernando Grande- Marlaska, has pointed out that "the closing of borders is a real possibility".

The Spanish Government say that according to their calculations new infections will stop growing in 10 days.

The latest figures from the Spanish Health Authorities show that there are now 320 who have died from the virus in Spain including the youngest person to die, a 21-year-old with previous underlining conditions in Malaga, and more than 9,191 positive cases reported. Half of the cases are concentrated in Madrid.
