Iris Guntenaar-Boonen, a member of the Los Holandeses Club, has promoted a solidarity campaign in order to raise money for the Ukrainian families who have come to l'Alfàs del Pi fleeing from the war.

Through a solidarity piggy bank installed at the bar of the Los Holandeses Club, they have managed to raise €165 which, in collaboration with Mendoza Supermarkets, they have transformed into vouchers for the purchase of fresh products, such as vegetables, meat or fish. These vouchers will now be distributed among Ukrainian families.

The Councilor for Residents of Other Nationalities, Martine Mertens, has approached the Club Los Holandeses to thank them for this charitable initiative.

Club Los Holandeses, established in 1975, has more than 250 members, most of them Dutch nationals, although there are also Belgians and Spaniards. The Club organizes from its headquarters, in the Barranco Hondo urbanization, a wide variety of activities for its members. The only requirement to be part of this association is to speak Dutch, regardless of nationality. A very integrated club, supportive and always willing to participate in all the activities promoted by the City Council of l'Alfàs, adds the Councilor for Residents of Other Nationalities, Martine Mertens.
