Symphonic Band of the Unió Musical de Benidorm in the 'Concerts d'Estiu'

The Symphonic Band of the Unió Musical de Benidorm (UMB), performed last night, in the Julio Iglesias auditorium in Parque de l'Aiguera, its IV Great International Soloists Concert, within the 'Concerts d'Estiu' 2021 proposed by the Department of Culture of the Benidorm City Council.

The event, which was attended by the mayor, Toni Pérez; the Councilor for Culture, Jaime Jesús Pérez; and other corporate partners, it was held under the strict security measures required by the health authorities due to the pandemic. 

Before the concert, the Unió presented Sandra Sendra, clarinet, a badge for her first ten years in the entity; Miriam Galiano, oboe and Pere Climent, percussion, imposing on them the insignia of society. Later, he gave silver pins to Cristina Mahiques, flute; Isabel Climent, clarinet; Álex Estalrich, percussion; Alejandro Rubio, saxophone, and Sergio Zarco, also saxophone.

Then, under the direction of Oswaldo Olmos, the UMB Symphonic Band began its concert with 'Rocío' by Juan Manuel Molina Millá; He continued with 'Colors' by Bert Appermont and with Javi García as solo trombone; Pompeii, by José Albert Pina and ended with 'Bolívar' by Eric Cook.

The last of this year's 'Concerts d'Estiu' will take place on Sunday, 1st August, by the Societat Musical La Nova, as in the previous ones, admission is free until full capacity is reached.
