The 19th October is a day when most of Spain decks itself out in pink, specifically to serve as a reminder about society's commitment to fight this disease. BBVA has chosen this date to fittingly kick-off a campaign that will run through 19th November and aims to raise money for the Spanish Association Against Cancer.

A large pink ribbon, has been hanging on the main balcony of the Benidorm Town Hall since last Wednesday and it has the initials of Anémona (Self-help group for women with breast and gynecological cancer), announces that, for another year, the city in solidarity and with courage in the face of the disease shows it's support.

The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, and the Councilor for Equality, Ángela Zaragozí, along with members of the three groups represented in the municipal corporation, accompanied by María Botella, president of Anémona, and a representation of her associates in the deployment of the banner.

Regarding the activities of the International Day, next Monday, Ángela Zaragozí has positively valued the importance given to sports activities, despite the capacity limitation. "We want to give visibility to physical exercise", has influenced, because this "helps the recovery of affected women and their state of mind. For them it is very beneficial ”.
