The president of the Provincial Council signs the collaboration agreement for Alicante to host the presentation of the Repsol Guide Suns in February 2023

The president of the Diputación de Alicante, Carlos Mazón , has described gastronomy as " one of the most important and benchmark sectors of the Costa Blanca ", while assuring that, " it will once again be the lever that will contribute to overcome the economic difficulties of the last two years ”. The provincial official made these statements during his speech at the signing of the collaboration agreement between various administrations to promote the delivery of the 2023 Repsol Guide Suns at the ADDA in February next year .

During the signing, held in the city's Santa Bárbara castle, and on which the director of the Repsol Guide, María Ritter , the mayor of Alicante, Luis Barcala , and the regional secretary of Tourism Generalitat Valenciana, also signed Francesc Colomer , Mazón has highlighted the ability to “ reinvent and improve ” Alicante gastronomy, “ with a sector that offers more and more attractions, more quality and more innovation, which has made the province a national reference ”.

“ It is a great initiative, a commitment to the city of Alicante, because the province is synonymous with gastronomy, with the quality of our hotel and restaurant sector, with special attention to local products and their preparation ”, stated the president, who He assured that this gala “ is a boost for the entire sector that has had such a bad time during the pandemic but that, despite this, has not stopped innovating, preparing and working to give it all .”

In this sense, he has promised to continue working from the Provincial Council and from the Costa Blanca Board " to support the city and promote our destination, since we are prepared for this type of event and for many others, as important as this one " .

As announced by the president of the Diputación, the ADDA will be the venue for the delivery of the Soles Guías Repsol distinctions on February 27, 2023 , an event that will bring together more than a hundred chefs from all over Spain to celebrate the largest gastronomic event in the country .

The city of Alicante will also host different complementary activities in the coming months with which it is intended to bring gastronomy and its benefits to the public.

The institutional manager, who has highlighted " the drive, determination and quality of professionals and businessmen from Alicante in the restoration ", has recalled that, shortly, from September 23 to 26 , ' Alicante Gastronómica' will be held at IFA , one of the contests with greater attractiveness, quality and innovation and in which the variety of dishes and typical products of the province will be promoted .

The delivery of the Repsol Guide Suns 2023 is a gastronomic and tourist event during which not only will the best restaurants in Spain be recognized for their work and trajectory , but it will also bring together an important representation of the national gastronomic community .

Alicante gastronomy has become one of the greatest hallmarks of the territory and one of the attractions for which tourists choose the Costa Blanca for their holidays or getaways. The Valencian Community has a total of 54 restaurants with Repsol Guide Suns, of which 24 belong to the province of Alicante .
