The “VIII International Day of La Nucía” will be celebrated on Saturday, March 23 in the parking lot of the Muixara Pavilion in La Nucía , organised by the Department of International Residents. At 11 a.m. the opening ceremony will take place with a spectacular “Parade of Nations” that will precede the opening ceremony, the opening of which will be carried out by the Brazilian delegation. A cultural exchange meeting to publicize the culture, folklore and traditions of 40 countries.
Admission to the public will be free.
A day of coexistence, fun and entertainment, especially for people interested in the culture and folklore of other countries. For 7 intense hours (from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.) you can enjoy music, dancing, performances, typical costumes, snacks, native cuisine, crafts , etc. The objective of International La Nucía Day is to take another step in the integration of “nucieros” of different nationalities.
This week the presentation of the event was held, which included representatives from various participating countries, as well as Jessica Gommans , Councilor for International Residents.
40 countries confirmed
The international press published in the Marina Baixa region, NGOs, cultural associations, etc. have been involved in this “International Day of La Nucía” project. India, Germany, Argentina, Morocco, Brazil, Italy, Senegal, Great Britain, Colombia, Ecuador, Bolivia…. and many other countries will show the best of their cultures on the VIII International Day of La Nucía . The presence of 40 countries has been confirmed. As a novelty, this year new countries such as Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica and Guyana “debut . ”
Brazil opens “Nations Parade”
For the opening, a spectacular “ Parade of Nations ” has been prepared at 11 a.m. and in 2024, Brazil will be in charge of opening the parade. Each edition it has been a different country that opens the parade. The queen of the festivities Marta Ferrer and her bridesmaids together with els Majorals 2024- Penya Els Penjats will be the representatives of Spain in the parade of nations of this eighth edition. Various NGOs will also have their stand on this VIII International Day of La Nucía.
