l’Alfàs del Pi / 19 December 2025
APPA Animal Protection, in collaboration with l’Alfàs del Pi Town Hall, will host the 2nd Charity Christmas Market on Sunday 21 December, from 11:00am to 5:00pm, at the Old Schools.
The event aims to raise funds to support APPA’s ongoing work rescuing and caring for abandoned animals. According to APPA President Bárbara Bernaus, numerous associations and local businesses have joined the initiative in support of this charitable cause.
Visitors will be able to enjoy a variety of stalls offering pet-related products, alongside a charity bar, children’s workshops, dog entertainment, raffles, and other activities designed to provide a fun and family-friendly day while supporting animal welfare.
Bernaus highlighted the importance of the event in raising awareness about responsible pet ownership, stating that animals should be treated as companions and never as disposable items.
The Councillor for Animal Protection, Luis Morant, thanked APPA for organising the event and praised the involvement of local businesses and volunteers, encouraging residents to attend. He emphasised that public support is vital for associations to continue caring for abandoned animals.
All funds raised will go directly to APPA to help meet the growing demand for animal care. Morant also took the opportunity, especially during the Christmas period, to remind citizens of the importance of adopting rather than buying pets and of the shared responsibility to prevent animal abandonment and abuse.
