Beach Users Urged to Check Regulations Before Organising Events

Benidorm Local Police have issued a reminder to residents, businesses, visitors and community groups that certain activities on the city's beaches require prior municipal authorisation before they can take place.

The warning comes as Benidorm enters the busy summer season, with visitor numbers expected to rise significantly across Levante, Poniente and Mal Pas beaches.

Safety and Environmental Protection

According to local authorities, activities such as sporting events, promotional campaigns, organised group activities, commercial filming, recreational events and other large-scale gatherings may require permits from Benidorm Town Hall.

Officials say the regulations are designed to protect public safety, avoid disruption to beach users and safeguard the coastal environment during periods of high demand.

Increased Summer Monitoring

With Benidorm's beaches among the most visited in Spain, Local Police will increase monitoring throughout the summer to ensure compliance with municipal regulations and maintain safe conditions for residents and tourists.

The city has already reinforced lifeguard, cleaning and accessibility services for the peak season, with more than 200 staff involved in beach operations across the municipality.

Shared Responsibility

Police are encouraging anyone planning an organised activity to contact the Town Hall in advance to check permit requirements and avoid potential fines or disruption.

Authorities stress that protecting Benidorm's coastline is a shared responsibility and plays a key role in maintaining the resort's reputation as one of the Mediterranean's leading tourist destinations.
