At the end of the day, eleven bicycles were raffled among all the participants
On Sunday, Benidorm celebrated the traditional 'Bicycle Day for all', organised by the Department of Sports, in a day marked once again by the high participation and pleasant temperature to get on two wheels and enjoy the views and the car-free ride along many of the city's main roads.
Nearly half a thousand people gathered for this event, which started at 9:30 in the morning with the gathering in the Foietes Park auditorium. All the participants were there to start the march at ten o'clock. The only condition to take part was to come with a pedal vehicle and a helmet. Before that, upon arrival at Foietes Park, cyclists received a number that gave them the right to participate in the bicycle raffle at the end of the day.
At 10:00 in the morning, Mayor Toni Pérez gave the start to the platoon, whose members included the Councilor for Sports, Javier Jordá and several members of the local corporation. A journey of just over seven kilometers that began in the park itself, from where the caravan headed towards Jaime I and from there it traveled through Armada Española, Vicente Llorca Alós and Paseo de Tamarindos, ending after a slight rest. to regroup, later returning to the starting point where a refreshment and gift raffle awaited.
