Benidorm is set to welcome more than 30,000 revellers this week for the 31st edition of its famous Fancy Dress Party, one of Europe’s largest and most colourful costume celebrations. The event will once again transform the Rincón de Loix district into a vibrant spectacle of music, creativity, and international flair.
The festivities officially begin at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, though road closures will be in place from 11:00 a.m. in the surrounding area for safety reasons. Streets such as Gerona and Lepanto are expected to be affected.
Visitors can look forward to a festive parade featuring over 15 themed floats, complete with drummers, dancers, and an array of imaginative costumes. The Fancy Dress Party attracts an eclectic mix of participants from the UK, Spain, and across Europe, making it one of Benidorm’s most anticipated annual events.
Following this Thursday’s main celebration, the party atmosphere will continue throughout the weekend, with over 50 local bars and venues hosting themed events on Friday and Saturday.
Tourists are encouraged to come in costume and wear comfortable footwear to make the most of the lively celebrations in Benidorm’s famous nightlife area.
For more information and updates on road closures, visitors can check the Benidorm Town Hall website and official social media channels.
