Benidorm / 10 December 2025
The Benidorm Public Library Network has launched a new charitable initiative to collect non-perishable food items for homeless individuals ahead of the Christmas period. The campaign is being carried out in partnership with the Red Cross.
The Councillor for Historical and Cultural Heritage, Ana Pellicer, highlighted that the initiative forms part of the social mission of public libraries, stating that the aim is to “support those most in need during this time of year.” She also announced that anyone who donates food as part of the campaign will receive a small gift from the Library Network as a gesture of appreciation.
The campaign runs from now and until Tuesday 30 December.
Donations can be made at the Central Library, which is open Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 8:00pm, excluding Christmas public holidays.
Residents are encouraged to contribute what they can to help ensure that vulnerable members of the community receive support during the festive season.
