The Benidorm Local Police have added two new All Terrain Vehicles (ATMs) to their fleet to improve surveillance on the beaches and, when necessary, in rural recreational areas. The two new quads were presented this morning on Levante Beach in the presence of Mayor Toni Pérez and the Councilors for Citizen Security and Beaches, Jesús Carrobles and Mónica Gómez.
The two new vehicles are already operational and will perform their first tasks during the upcoming camping trip for the city's club groups next week, and now with the arrival of Easter.
The vehicles purchased by the City Council are Loncin brand and the Xwolf 700 model, with 4x4 capability and advanced technology and proven reliability.
The engine they use has a long reputation for reliability and performance, and both quads are equipped with the highest specifications. They feature full LED headlights, a roof rack capable of supporting up to 50 kilos, an electric winch with over 450 kilos of towing capacity, and another roof rack that can support up to 90 kilos.
Each vehicle is capable of towing up to 800 kilos. They have a 25-liter fuel tank, allowing them to reach a range of up to 300 kilometers. With a displacement of 686 cubic centimeters, they are capable of developing 47 hp at 5,500 revolutions per minute (rpm). They also feature EPS power steering and weigh 385 kilos.
Toni Pérez emphasized that the two quads are "a new tool of maximum capacity and power for supervising the city's beaches." The mayor also emphasized that the two new vehicles "join the existing maritime and land resources for the greater peace of mind of beaches that are in extraordinary health and already offer our visitors a wonderful appearance in terms of cleanliness, image, and services." Finally, the mayor added that the City Council's goal is "to ensure that the services we offer are provided with excellence, especially on the beaches, which are the jewel in the crown."
