Benidorm / 8 May 2026
Benidorm is preparing to step back in time this weekend as Elche Park and nearby Alcalde José Such Street host a new edition of its popular Medieval Market from 8–10 May 2026, bringing crafts, food stalls and live medieval-style entertainment to the heart of the city.
Organised by the AICO merchants’ association in collaboration with Benidorm City Council, the event forms part of the city’s annual cultural programme marking its historic roots and continues to be a key attraction for both residents and international visitors across the Costa Blanca.
What visitors can expect
The market will officially open on Friday at 6:00pm, with full opening hours running daily from 11:00am to 11:00pm.
Boost for tourism and local trade
Local officials say the event plays an important role in strengthening Benidorm’s cultural identity while supporting small businesses and seasonal tourism ahead of the summer peak.
Council representatives highlighted AICO’s continued contribution in delivering large-scale community events that attract footfall into the city centre and enhance the visitor experience beyond the beach and nightlife offer.
