The Benidorm City Council and the Abreca association will organise for the seventh consecutive year the great New Year's Eve party to be held on the Paseo de Levante. An event supported by the Departments of Festivals, Commerce and Major Events for which an attendance of around 10,000 people is expected, as stated today by the Councilor for Festivals, Mariló Cebreros.
The party will begin in the afternoon, from 7 p.m., and will last until 1:30 in the morning with performances by three local DJs, as well as national and international entertainment by a professional speaker. A large number of beachfront entertainment venues have joined this year-end macro-party and will distribute grapes and party favors for the crowd that will gather at midnight to welcome 2024 in one of the most beautiful places. emblematic of the city.
Once the chimes have finished, Spanish time, a great pyromusical show will begin that will combine music and fireworks in a synchronized way. As a novelty, at one in the morning the party will connect with British television to broadcast the chimes from Big Ben in London. “It is a deference that we want to have with tourists of that nationality, who in increasing numbers choose our city to say goodbye to the year,” said Cebreros.
Furthermore, in order to offer greater coverage of the chimes and the performances planned that night, six LED screens will be installed; one on the stage and five more on the beach, from which all those who attend the party can follow the chimes.
As in previous editions, and with the aim of disturbing the neighbors as little as possible, the installed speakers will be directed towards the sea.
