Benidorm City Council has decreed the suspension of classes and outdoor activities today, Tuesday, March 4, due to the emergency situation due to floods declared by the Generalitat Valenciana. Following the recommendations, the circulation of vehicles and pedestrians in the vicinity of gullies and ravines is also suspended.
Initially, Benidorm had been excluded from the emergency situation 0 in which other towns in the Marina Baixa region were immersed. However, throughout the afternoon, as the meteorological instability situation progressed, the Generalitat Valenciana has extended this alert for risk of flooding to Benidorm.
Hence, based on the recommendations of the regional administration, classes, outdoor activities and movement in ravines, gullies and surrounding areas have been suspended.
While this emergency situation lasts, the population is asked to avoid unnecessary travel and to take extreme precautions.
