Benidorm will play host to the 9th Regatta of the Mediterranean Fixed Seat Suma League on Sunday, 29 March, bringing together 530 athletes from 17 clubs across the Valencian Community in one of the key events of the season.
The regatta will take place in the waters of Cala del Mal Pas, opposite the iconic Balcón del Mediterráneo, offering spectators panoramic views of the races from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Organised by the Valencian Community Rowing Federation and sponsored by Suma Tax Management, the event is crucial as it represents the third-to-last race of the league, with every point counting in the fight for the championship.
Competition Format and Categories
Athletes will compete in traditional Llaüt Mediterráneo boats, a heritage rowing style of the Valencian coast, in categories including:
The Absolute category will race over 1,400 meters with three turns, while other categories will complete 700 meters with a single turn.
