Castellón driver Carlos Archiles dominated the III La Vila Joiosa Hill Climb at Port de Tudons, securing victory as the event made its debut in the Spanish Hill Climb Cup.
Archiles piloted his Norma to victory in a tightly contested race against 51 drivers, finishing just 0.15 seconds ahead of Spanish competitor Javi Villa and Swiss driver Reto Meisel. This win follows Archiles’ previous triumph at the II Pujada a La Vila in 2025, reaffirming his strong form in Spanish motorsport.
In addition to the national success, Archiles topped the Valencian Community Hill Climb Championship, ahead of Toni Ariete (2nd) and Vicente Escuder (3rd), highlighting his regional dominance.

The 6.3-kilometre CV-770 route through Port de Tudons offered breathtaking scenery and thrilling racing, drawing hundreds of spectators. The event’s growing prestige is reflected in this year’s record participation, surpassing last year’s numbers and cementing its place on the national motorsport calendar.
Organised by the La Vila Motor Club and Villajoyosa City Council, the event featured a weekend of motorsport festivities, including technical and administrative checks, a pilots’ departure ceremony at Antoneta Park, and an awards ceremony attended by Mayor Marcos Zaragoza, Sports Councillor Peyo Lloret, and other officials.
Mayor Zaragoza praised the event:
"This competition has become a major fixture in Spanish motorsport. Its inclusion in the Spanish Hill Climb Championship marks a new milestone, and we are committed to its continued growth."
Councillor Lloret added:
"With 51 drivers competing this year, the event has grown in both participation and excitement. It is now firmly established on the motorsport calendar and continues to thrill professionals and fans alike."
The III La Vila Joiosa Hill Climb has solidified its reputation as one of Spain’s fastest-growing mountain races, combining high-level competition with a festival-like atmosphere for motorsport enthusiasts.
