More than 54,000 tonnes of waste have already been processed across the Costa Blanca in 2026, as the regional waste authority Consorci Mare confirms a major boost in funding exceeding €8 million from the Generalitat Valenciana.
The figures place Benidorm at the heart of ongoing environmental investment across the Marina Baixa and Marina Alta regions, with key projects aimed at improving recycling infrastructure and sustainability.

Users must register via the Consorci Mare app and log their recycling activity to qualify for reductions in the following tax year.
