THE SPORTS SHOW WILL CONTINUE ON THE 16TH AND 17TH IN LA CALA WITH THE 4 X 4 AMATEUR MIXED TOURNAMENT AND THE 2 X 2 REGIONAL FINAL OF THE A2 CIRCUIT
Less than a month away is the most intense round of national and international beach volleyball played every summer in La Cala de Finestrat. The Department of Sports announces that registration is now open for the "Beach Volleyball Tour." It's the oldest 4x4 tournament in Spain and is held every August 15th in La Cala de Finestrat. This year marks its 48th anniversary. Furthermore, on the 16th and 17th, La Cala will continue to vibrate with volleyball: on Saturday the 16th with the 9th edition of the Mixed 4x4 Tournament (limited to 16 teams) and on Sunday the 17th, the final of the A2 circuit of the Valencian Community.
“Summer is here, and we're not stopping in Finestrat because some of the most important events on the sporting calendar are taking place at a key venue: our Cala. There, from August 15th to 17th, we'll experience three very intense days of the best national and international beach volleyball. We kick off on Friday the 15th with our 48th, the oldest 4x4 tournament in Spain, part of the “Beach Volley Tour.” This offers the opportunity to face amateur players and top figures from international circuits, including Olympic figures such as Raúl Mesa, on our sand. This will be on Friday the 15th, in the 48th edition of our tournament,” stated Sports Councilor Beatriz Quintillán.
August 16 and 17: Mixed 4 x 4 Tournament and Regional Final
In addition, the August long weekend extends the sporting events in La Cala. On Saturday, August 16, the 9th Mixed 4x4 Tournament will be held, in which boys and girls join forces to compete against other teams.
And on Sunday, August 17th, the Final of the Valencian Community A2 Regional Circuit arrives. This competition will determine the regional winners who will represent the Community in the upcoming Spanish Championship.
