It will be on Saturday, September 20th, with two categories: runners and hikers.
The most exciting trail of the summer is back: "Faldes Puig Campana Finestrat." It will take place on Saturday, September 20th, at night to avoid the high summer temperatures. A date for trail and hiking enthusiasts to complete the "Volta" (round trip) around one of the most iconic mountains in the Valencian Community, Puig Campana.
The event is organized by the El Portell de Finestrat Sports Center in collaboration with the Finestrat City Council's Sports Department. This new edition was presented by the Sports Councilor, Beatriz Quintillán, along with the president of El Portell, Vicente Climent.
Participation is available in the Trail, where runners will cover a distance of 16 kilometers with a vertical gradient of 900 meters (medium difficulty); the Sprint Trail, with a distance of 9 kilometers and a vertical gradient of 600 meters (medium difficulty); and for hikers, also 9 kilometers with a vertical gradient of +600 meters.
In the words of the Councilor for Sports, Beatriz Quintillán , "It's a classic event at the end of summer that each year attracts more participants to do the "Volta al Puig," with the unique feature of doing it at night, when the temperature is much more favorable. A combination I encourage you to experience: sport in summer, surrounded by nature, with Puig Campana as the star attraction."
The start will be at 8:30 p.m. from Plaça de la Unión Europea. The route will pass through Font del Molí, Collado Ciprerets, Collado Pouet, Foia de Cac, and Cova del Cremat, among other points.
The hiking and sprint trail options will traverse L'Alqueria, Corral de Suay, Cova del Roget, and Foia de Cac. Refreshments will be provided on both routes during the race and at the finish line.
The Night Trail is open to all participants (members or not), and minors must be accompanied by an adult or provide parental authorization. Registration fees are €18 for walkers and €20 for runners.
Registration can now be completed on the website: www.mychip.es and will be open until 11:59 p.m. on September 17.
