Benidorm / 28 May 2026
Officers from Benidorm Local Police have arrested five people and closed a suspected cannabis club following a major anti-drugs operation in one of the city’s busiest tourist areas.
The arrests took place during an overnight inspection operation targeting leisure venues and establishments across Benidorm.

Police also confiscated:
The five suspects — aged between 21 and 30 and reported to be of Brazilian and Italian nationality — were arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking offences.
Cannabis club closed following operation
Authorities confirmed the premises has been closed following the operation while investigations continue.
The detainees have now been placed before a duty judge, who will oversee the next stage of the legal proceedings.
Ongoing crackdown on drug trafficking
The operation forms part of wider security and inspection measures being carried out by Benidorm Local Police to combat drug trafficking and strengthen public safety in the resort.
Police sources say investigations remain ongoing and further actions linked to the case have not been ruled out.
