The mayor of l'Alfàs del Pi, Vicente Arques, and the president of the hotel and catering association HOSBEC, Fede Fuster, have today signed a collaboration agreement aimed at defending the image and prestige of the tourism sector and promoting the development of companies in this sector. An agreement that carries with it a financial endowment of 6,000 euros.
The signing of the agreement, held this morning in the Alfasino town hall, was attended by the Councillor for the Presidency of l'Alfàs, Mayte García Madrid, the councillor for Tourism, Luis Miguel Morant, and the general secretary of HOSBEC, Mayte García Córcoles.
HOSBEC is very well represented in the municipality of l'Alfàs del Pi: 80% of hotel places, 100% of campsite places and a range of tourist apartments with more than 1,000 additional beds. In total, there are nearly 4,200 tourist accommodation places in the municipality.
With the signing of this agreement, the City Council of l'Alfàs del Pi and HOSBEC undertake to work together to implement public-private collaboration strategies, especially in the integration of the Smart Office and the Smart Tourist Destination.
The objective is to implement the BionTrend tool for forecasting future booking behaviour in the municipality, so that the accommodation offer in l'Alfàs can have its own visualisation integrated into this entire intelligent ecosystem. To this end, HOSBEC is committed to training DTI staff from the l'Alfàs del Pi Town Council in Big Data and in the specialised use and processing of data.
The agreement signed today between the Alfasino council and the hotel and catering employers' association also provides for the promotion of courses, seminars, conferences and any other actions that are beneficial to increasing the levels of business excellence in the municipality's tourism sector.
Likewise, both entities agree to collaborate in the realization of joint promotional campaigns, with special attention to the health tourism segment. L'Alfàs del Pi, as a healthy tourist destination, has demonstrated its firm commitment to grow towards a sustainable model and sustained growth, which guarantees cultural and natural heritage.
Finally, with the signing of this agreement, HOSBEC undertakes to collaborate in the generation of data and analysis reports on tourist accommodation in the l'Alfàs-Albir destination through the use of the Transparent tool.
