Benidorm / 5 January 2026
Benidorm celebrated a magical Three Kings Night despite persistent rain, as the traditional parade was held in a reduced indoor format at the Palau d’Esports l’Illa de Benidorm, where thousands of children gathered to welcome Their Majesties Melchior, Gaspar and Balthazar.
Earlier in the afternoon, the Three Kings visited the Doble Amor Centre, where they distributed gifts to the 52 people supported by the organisation, accompanied by their families and friends. The visit was attended by Benidorm Mayor Toni Pérez, Councillor for Festivals Mariló Cebreros, members of the municipal council and regional representatives, alongside the centre’s president José Luis Calvo, staff and users.
Due to the ongoing rainfall, the City Council relocated the traditional parade to the Palau d’Esports to ensure the safety and comfort of families. Free buses and parking facilities were provided, allowing residents to attend easily.
The celebration retained the spirit of the traditional parade, featuring dance schools, musical societies, local bands and cultural groups. The programme included a staged retelling of The Story of the Three Wise Men of the East, structured in six scenes and performed by local cultural participants.
Mayor Toni Pérez officially welcomed the Three Kings on behalf of the city, thanking all those involved in making the celebration possible and asking Their Majesties for “peace, harmony and health for all the children of Benidorm.”
Following the ceremony, Melchior, Gaspar and Balthazar distributed gifts to the children present before continuing their traditional journey to homes across the city, ensuring that Benidorm’s youngest residents would woke up to a joyful Three Kings morning.
Easter Events & Local Atmosphere (Just finished but still ongoing vibe)
Benidorm
The tail end of Semana Santa has wrapped, but the holiday atmosphere continues this week. Expect busy beaches and a bustling Old Town, with hotels around 90% full. Daily live music, tribute acts, UK-style cabaret shows, DJs, and themed party nights are keeping the nightlife lively. The Benidorm Punk Weekender is also taking place, offering multi-day alternative music performances. This week is more about the post-Easter buzz, nightlife, and events in venues rather than big parades.
