Finestrat is preparing to celebrate one of the most traditional festivals on the calendar. Next Monday, April 21st, the traditional Ereta , popularly known as Día de la Mona, will take place in the Font del Molí recreational area at the foot of Puig Campana.
This Easter Monday festival has recently been declared a local tourist attraction. It's an important event for all Finestratins and visitors who join in the traditional celebration every year.
Starting at 12 noon, we'll enjoy the best atmosphere at Font del Molí. There will be bouncy castles for the little ones, musical entertainment with a local band , and a demonstration on how to make Easter cakes by Pastelería Nou Dolç, 22. There will also be a cake tasting starting at 5:00 p.m.
Also new this year, from 12:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., several laser tag sessions have been organized by age group.
This entire program will be accompanied by a bar at affordable prices , offering the best tapas and snacks, curated by the El Balconet Festival Committee.
For this day, the Councilor for Festivals, Sara Llorca, encourages residents and visitors of Finestrat and the surrounding area to enjoy this traditional Easter Day outdoors. " Everything is ready for the Festa de L'Ereta. We'll have inflatables and laser tag sessions designed for a younger audience. There will also be a band and traditional tapas with the Festival Committee. And as a novelty this year, we've prepared a tasting dedicated to the typical dessert of L'Ereta, the Easter mona, prepared by the local bakery Nou Dolç. So I invite you all to enjoy the Día de la Mona in the company of all the residents of the municipality."
