Next Saturday, June 22, in the Plaça de l'Església, the right to diversity will be vindicated with a great party open to the public.
The Social Welfare and Equality department of Altea town hall has presented the Third Edition of "DiversAltea"; a vindictive event that will have different activities to commemorate the International Day of LGTBIQ+ Pride.
The mayor of the two areas, Anna Lanuza, informs that "DiversAltea will be the first time that it will go out into the street with a new location, La Plaça de l'Església, but with the same objective which is to make the collective visible by sending a message of respect".
This event will take place on Saturday, June 22, where the opening will be performed, around 9:00 p.m., by the Batucada Sonats d'Altea and will lead to the reading of the manifesto by Leo Mulió; It will feature DJ Kebra and performances by Euphoria and Alen Santander. On the other hand, Amparo Oltra will perform a monologue and there will be many other surprises.
The coordinator of the Department of Social Welfare and Equality, Braulio Cencerrado, wanted to state that "it is a day of celebration for many successes achieved, but that we need to continue working to claim the rights of the LGTBIQ+ group". It is an open event where the whole town is invited, a party with Jean Coco as master of ceremonies who will enliven the evening. He himself declared in a press conference that "Pride is a party, a celebration within the framework of diversity. And this year, by being open, you will have more power to reach the whole public".
