The toys were delivered to schools in the affected towns
The Local Police of La Nucía collected toys and school supplies at the Local Police Headquarters, to be taken to the populations affected by the DANA, contributing to the magic of Christmas continuing to reach all homes in 2024, despite the flood. This campaign was organized by the International Police Association (IPA) Alicante, together with the local police forces of La Nucía, l'Alfàs del Pi, Altea, Benidorm, Callosa d'en Sarrià, Finestrat, Polop and La Vila Joiosa.
The solidarity of the people of La Nucía contributed to the fact that this week more than 4,000 toys and gifts collected throughout the region were distributed in the schools of the municipalities of Sedaví, Alfafar, Paiporta, Catarroja and Albal . In order for the toys to reach Valencia, 5 vans and 4 patrol vehicles of the Local Police of the region were sent to transport the collected material, including several vans from La Nucía.
The Local Police of La Nucía and the Department of Citizen Security would like to thank all the neighbours, associations and charitable companies that have participated in this campaign, donating gifts, toys and school supplies for the children of the towns affected by the DANA. The aim of this campaign was to ensure that no child was left without the magic and joy of Christmas.
