The mayor has inaugurated this new edition of the fair, which will be held until Sunday in the Town Hall square.
Benidorm Outlet Fair
This weekend, establishments will offer items with discounts of up to 50% in the Plaza de SS MM los Reyes de España
The Plaza de Sus Majestades los Reyes de España is hosting a new edition of the Outlet Fair from this Friday, organised by the Independent Association of Merchants of Benidorm and the Region, AICO, in collaboration with the Department of Commerce. The mayor of the city, Toni Pérez, participated this afternoon in the official opening of the fair together with the president of AICO, Raúl Parra, and other members of the merchants' association and the Municipal Corporation.
This year, 17 establishments are participating in 28 tents, displaying their stock with discounts of up to 50%. The products cover a wide range of products: from fashion and footwear to sports items, household appliances, textiles and home goods, with the aim of emptying the warehouses in preparation for the winter season and, in addition, at a time when there is less commercial activity due to the proximity of other campaigns with significant discounts, such as Black Friday.
The opening of this trade fair took place this morning, with the official inauguration at 13:30. Both today and tomorrow, Saturday, the opening hours of the fair will be from 10:30 to 21:30, while on Sunday it will also open from 10:30 but will close at 21:00. During this time, in addition to products at reduced prices, the public will also find children's inflatables and a bar, which this year is managed by the Association of Bars and Restaurants, ABRECA.
The merchants' association will also raffle off three vouchers for purchases in local establishments worth a total of 850 euros. Thus, for every purchase of more than 20 euros, customers will receive a coupon to participate in this raffle, in which a voucher of 550 euros and two other vouchers of 150 euros each will be raffled off.
The mayor has made a tour of all the exhibitors and has highlighted “the good movement that can be seen in these first hours of operation”, which he has attributed to the fact that “it is a very consolidated and attractive fair for the consumer because it sells a good product at the best price”.
Toni Pérez also highlighted the fact that this is the eleventh edition of the fair and he hoped that “it will work as in previous years so that our traders and buyers are satisfied, which is what it is all about”. The mayor also encouraged residents of Benidorm and other parts of the region and the province of Alicante to attend this event, which he defined as “a benchmark at regional level for what a trade fair is”.
Easter Events & Local Atmosphere (Just finished but still ongoing vibe)
Benidorm
The tail end of Semana Santa has wrapped, but the holiday atmosphere continues this week. Expect busy beaches and a bustling Old Town, with hotels around 90% full. Daily live music, tribute acts, UK-style cabaret shows, DJs, and themed party nights are keeping the nightlife lively. The Benidorm Punk Weekender is also taking place, offering multi-day alternative music performances. This week is more about the post-Easter buzz, nightlife, and events in venues rather than big parades.
Day Trips & Experiences (Running This Week)
Available from Benidorm, Albir, and Altea:
Altea
After Easter processions, Altea is quieter this week. Visitors can enjoy street performers and small local gigs, with major festivals scheduled later in the year.
L’Alfàs del Pi / Albir
Local markets, cafés, and expat events continue, along with live music nights in bars and seafront venues.
Finestrat
Finestrat is relatively quiet this week, with the next major event being the April Fair on 25–26 April featuring flamenco, tapas, and music.
La Nucía
Maintains a sports-oriented vibe, hosting local training events and small community activities.
Villajoyosa
Offers seafront markets and a relaxed atmosphere, ideal for food lovers and visits to the chocolate museum.
Big Picture This Week
Easter tourism is still driving crowds. Beaches, bars, and restaurants are busy, and the main events this week include live music, tours, and local nightlife. Major festivals and larger events will return later in April and throughout the summer.
