Once again this year, the Alfàs del Pi Town Council is dedicating the summer months to the Estiu Festiu cultural programme on the beach in Albir, with concerts, dance and open-air cinema in venues such as the Villa Romana Museum, the Amerador cove, the Platja Albir Social Centre and the Paseo de las Estrellas.
The Councillor for Culture, Manuel Casado, presented the programme this morning together with the Councillor for Festivals and Traditions, Sandra Gómez, and the Director of the House of Culture, Esperanza Durán. He highlights the interesting musical offer, which will begin this Saturday with the concert offered by the Musical Society La Lira de l'Alfàs del Pi on the Paseo de las Estrellas, on the stage set up next to the monument to Jorge Castro's anchor.
“After the Film Festival, we move on to the summer programme, in which we move the cultural activity to the beach in l'Albir. This year we celebrate the twenty-fourth edition of the Estiu Festiu and the eighth edition of the cycle of concerts at the Llum de la Lluna in l'Albir”, declared the Councillor for Culture.
Six musical performances are scheduled for the month of August. On Friday 2nd, at 8:30 pm, the eighth Festival 'Música a la Llum de la Lluna de l'Albir' will begin with a recital by Equinox Dúo (clarinet and guitar) at the Cala del Amerador viewing point.
“If it is already a pleasure to listen to good live music, the setting chosen for the occasion, the viewing point of the Amerador cove, makes the event unique and offers a spectacular panoramic view, especially in the moonlight on these warm summer nights,” said Manuel Casado.
