Albir Festival continues this afternoon and will run until Sunday, 24 August, with a full programme of concerts, parades, competitions and family activities in Eucalyptus Park.
To promote equality and respect, the Alfàs del Pi Town Council has set up a Purple and Rainbow Point at the festival grounds. In addition, a free night bus service will operate tonight with departures at 1:30, 2:30 and 3:30 a.m., connecting Eucalyptus Park with Tossalet, the Casa de Cultura, Scandinavia Park and the Sant Rafael roundabout. On Saturday night, services will be extended until 4:30 a.m.
The festival is organised by the Mayorales of the 2025 Festivities of Santísimo Cristo del Buen Acierto, the Penya El Descontrol, in collaboration with the Town Council and the Associació de Penyes, which brings together around 40 groups and nearly a thousand festival-goers.
Councillor for Festivals, Sandra Gómez, encouraged residents and visitors to enjoy the celebrations responsibly and thanked the organising committee for their efforts in preparing a varied and lively programme.
Free Night Bus Service
Coinciding with the festival, the Town Council is running a free night bus service on 22 and 23 August, connecting the town centre with the Albir area and surrounding neighbourhoods. The aim is to encourage people to leave their cars at home and enjoy the festivities safely.
Purple and Rainbow Point
The Town Council, through the Departments of Equality and Festivals, has also set up a Purple and Rainbow Point in Eucalyptus Park on 22 and 23 August. The aim is to involve the community in the fight against all forms of violence and guarantee festivities free from sexist behaviour and aggression.
