12 restaurant establishments in l'Alfàs del Pi participate in the 'First European Gastronomic Days', which are held from May 3 to 12, an activity framed in the commemorative events of May 9, Europe Day.
Everything is ready to enjoy the First Gastronomic Week of l'Alfàs, starting next Friday, May 3, 12 bars and restaurants have prepared a special menu with the most typical dishes from different countries of the European Union. An initiative to disseminate the gastronomic wealth but also to energize the commercial sector, as highlighted by the area's councilor, Patrick de Meirsman, who has taken the opportunity to encourage residents and visitors "to come and check it out and don't tell them about it."
There will be a prize for the best gastronomic experience and another for the participating public. As simple as evaluating each menu through QR codes.
As a cosmopolitan municipality in which citizens of almost a hundred different nationalities reside, and with the aim of bringing together the gastronomy of the 27 countries that make up the European Union, "with a varied and rich representation in our municipality," says Patrick de Meirsman, councilor of Commerce and Consumption. The best gastronomic experience and the participating public will be rewarded, collecting the opinions of each diner, evaluations reflected through the QR codes that will appear on the menus.
It was also intended that these 'First European Gastronomic Days' coincide with the celebration, in the garden of the Municipal Pool, of the 5th edition of the International Paella Day, 'World Paella Day', on May 11. An initiative promoted to ensure that paella, like other well-known international dishes, such as Pizza, is declared “Intangible Heritage of Humanity”.
Attached is documentation with the 12 catering establishments participating in the event.
