For the fourth consecutive year, the Alfàs del Pi City Council joins the solidarity tree campaign launched by the Corazón Exprés association. An initiative that aims to provide Christmas gifts for all the boys and girls in the region.
These solidarity trees have been installed in fifteen establishments and public buildings in l'Alfàs del Pi, with cards specifying the age of the boy or girl to whom the toy will be given. To collaborate you just have to locate one of the Corazón Exprés solidarity trees, choose one of the cards and buy a gift according to the instructions received. The gifts will be placed under the same Christmas tree.
The House of Culture and the Town Hall of l'Alfàs del Pi are two of the spaces in which these solidarity trees have been installed. Both the president of Corazón Exprés, Magdalena López del Castillo, and the councilor for Cooperation and Volunteering of the Alfàs del Pi City Council, Isabel Muñoz, and the councilor for Culture, Manuel Casado, call for the trees to be filled with gifts.
The gifts collected will be distributed among different associations, groups and Social Welfare departments in the region so that they reach families with fewer resources.
Every Christmas Corazón Exprés promotes this solidarity campaign, in which several municipalities in the Marina Baixa collaborate, including Altea, Benidorm, Bolulla, Polop, Finestrat, Callosa d'en Sarrià and l'Alfàs del Pi. The association encourages all citizens to collaborate by going to the places where the solidarity trees are located. The goal is that no boy or girl is left without a Christmas gift.
The deadline to deliver gifts ends on December 22. The Alfàs del Pi City Council encourages the population to join this Corazón Exprés initiative, thanking them in advance for their gesture of solidarity.
Corazón Exprés is a charitable association that seeks to connect resources with need, uniting people and entities with an altruistic social vision and families in emergency situations. In addition to providing specific financial aid, Corazón Exprés supports the transformation of people's quality of life through support for family and financial development. Currently, they collaborate with the social services departments of several municipalities and with different associations, in addition to providing advice and help to the elderly and people in vulnerable situations.
