Technicians from ADEAC, the entity responsible for granting this distinction, evaluated aspects such as water quality and cleanliness.
Villajoyosa's Blue Flag beaches (Centro, Varadero, El Torres, Paradís, Bol Nou, and La Caleta) have successfully passed the annual inspection conducted by technicians from the Association for Environmental and Consumer Education (ADEAC), the entity responsible for awarding this distinction nationwide.
On July 22nd, the Villajoyosa beaches that had received this distinction were evaluated by the head of ADEAC, accompanied by the head of the City Council's beach management system, in aspects such as water quality, safety, services offered, accessibility, cleanliness, and environmental information available to users.
Beaches Councilor Carlos Soler emphasized that "we are committed every day to continuing to offer top-quality beach spots. The Blue Flags certify this, and the inspection conducted by ADEAC has been satisfactory for another year."
Tourism Councilor Rosa Llorca highlighted "the constant efforts of municipal staff to keep our beaches in perfect condition and guarantee the safety and well-being of residents and visitors."
The Blue Flag is a "recognition of a job well done, and passing the annual inspection reinforces our commitment to responsible and sustainable tourism," both councilors stated.
The Villajoyosa City Council continues to work on the continuous improvement of the services and infrastructure of its beaches, consolidating them as one of the main tourist attractions in the Marina Baixa.
At the same time, in the municipality, the Blue Trail Flags are now displayed on the two nature trails that have received this recognition in Villajoyosa. The first of these, the Colada de la Costa, has reaffirmed this award for the second consecutive year, along with the Volta del Cantal trail. The municipality is the only one in the Marina Baixa region with two Blue Trails, one that runs along the coast and the other through the mountainous inland area.
