The automatic charging machines that were used on the tolls of the AP-7 could have a second life after the road has become toll free.

The company that owns them Abertis, has reached an agreement to sell them to the United States. They would be installed on highways across the state of Arizona and they are valued at €300,000. The agreement though must be approved by the Central Government as they were included in the transfer of the infrastructure.

As the work continues to remove them drivers advised to slow down and take care when approaching the toll booths as there are contractors in the area.
