The Department of Works has begun the renovation work on the pavement in the streets of downtown, Colonia Madrid and La Cala. The Councillor for Works, José Ramón González de Zárate, has pointed out that “Calle Aigües and Santanter and Vicente Llorca Alós have been paved." These actions, said the mayor, will solve many of the "accessibility problems" in this area of La Cala de Benidorm. Next on the list is Colonia Madrid.

Once the work in Colonia Madrid is finished, the objective will be to move to the centre of Benidorm. The action will involve the construction of a new "unique printed asphalt" for pedestrians, "friendly and comfortable for citizens, and fully accessible".

Finally, the work will continue in the centre with the asphalting of Calle Limones and Marqués de Comillas along with Maravall, Jaime I and Vent.

The works will improve the pedestrianisation, accessibility and mobility in those areas.
