The Foietes market returns on Wednesday, with 87 food stalls and new distribution to guarantee the safety distance

The Foites municipal market will resume its activity today, Wednesday, 1st July, with the opening of 87 food stalls and already adapted to the hygiene and safety guidelines issued by the health authorities. Councilor for Commerce, Lorenzo Martínez has said, "in order to guarantee the safety of customers and sellers we have designed a new layout of the food market that will allow us to comply with the social distance of 1.5 meters but also allowing customers to purchase items ”.

She also said that "in recent weeks the municipal technicians and the Headquarters of the Local Police have worked to adapt the marketplace and its operations set out by the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP) ”.

Martínez has clarified that "at this moment only the food stands wil be open open and as the situation evolves, the rest will open."

Due to the reopening and as usual whenever the market is om, vehicles will not be allowed to park in the Mercasa car park the night before.
