The Julio Iglesias auditorium in the Parque de l'Aigüera in Benidorm will host on 7th August at 10:00 p.m. 'A movie night', with the Mediterranean Symphony Orchestra (OSM), conducted by Juan Antonio Ramírez. A show aimed at all audiences and especially movie lovers.

The Councilor for Events, Jesús Carrobles, together with the director of the orchestra, today presented the performance of the philharmonic group that will perform pieces by two of the most prolific and impactful composers in the film industry, John Williams and Ennio Morricone. A "differentiating event - the councilor has pointed out - of what has been Benidorm Music Emotion" that provides the "touch and quality of the Mediterranean Symphony Orchestra".

The mayor of Events has shown himself convinced that the people who attend the concert "are going to move" with the music of Star Wars, Superman or Indiana Jones to the moments of happiness "that we live younger" when visualizing the great successes of Hollywood on the big screen.

Carrobles has encouraged residents and visitors to attend the Julio Iglesias and has announced that the sound show, aimed at all audiences, will be complemented by a large screen where fragments of the films and special effects will be projected. The public "will enjoy a lot of the hour and a half of the show," he assured.

For his part, Juan Antonio Ramírez has described Williams and Morricone as “two of the most iconic figures in the world of soundtracks”. Composers "who were not afraid of the audience, who fell in love with Hollywood and then the whole world." The proposal of the OSM recovers "the great stories of cinema that are never forgotten", it is an invitation to adventure and "to believe again in what excited us as children", he clarified.

About Benidorm, Ramírez assures that it is a city that helps you “to believe in the things that make us dream”, just like the seventh art does. "Without him - to quote what Spielberg told John Williams - bicycles would not fly, nor would brooms play Quidditch matches  ."

The show 'A movie night' will be developed following the guidelines issued by the health authorities for the prevention of Covid-19. The safety distance will be guaranteed, the routes will be conveniently signposted and there will be dispensers of hydroalcoholic gel. Tickets can be purchased from now on
