Altea City Council joins the Corazón Express de l'Arbre Solidari project Christmas Christmas campaign

 

From December 18 to 22 you can deposit the gift under the Solidarity Tree.

 

Altea City Council has joined the Christmas solidarity campaign promoted by the association Corazón Exprés so that no child is left without a Christmas present. This was made known by the mayor of Participació Ciutadana, Joaquim Devesa, who explained that there will be several municipal buildings that will house the Solidarity Tree under which to deposit the gifts.

 

As indicated by the mayor, "today the Solidarity Tree of Corazón Exprés, with which the City Council collaborates, has been installed in the hall of the Altea Town Hall". "This campaign has been created to help the families who need it the most and who have this Christmas illusion that is so typical of our country, such as giving gifts to children on Kings Day"; added Devesa.

 

"The aim is to collect gifts for children from families in need and along these lines, Corazón Exprés has installed several trees in the municipality and we wish them a fruitful campaign that can be of help to families more needs". Joaquim Devesa concluded.

 

On behalf of Corazón Exprés, a regional association based in Altea, Magdalena López invites the population of Altea to participate in this great Christmas initiative and thanks the people of Altea because "Altea is one of the most supportive towns we have" .

"We put up the Christmas tree so that no boy or girl, between the ages of 1 and 12, is left without their new gift", points out the president of Corazón Exprés, who detailed that "you have to come to the tree, pick up a card on which you put the age of the boy or girl to whom you will send your gift and then, once the gift has been purchased, it is returned under one of the solidarity trees. No need to take the card and return the gift to the same tree. Then we go on to collect the gifts that are intended for our association, but also for others who cannot collect enough gifts for the minors whose families they collaborate with".

 

Last year, more than 400 gifts were collected in the Marina Baixa Region and it is expected to reach or exceed this figure. There are approximately 50 volunteers that Corazón Exprés has in the Region and who, with their various tasks, try to ensure that no family or person has the necessary resources in emergency situations, but also on special dates such as this Solidarity Tree in which, as its president declares, "it must be borne in mind that with participation a boy or girl will be happy, which is the most important thing".

In Altea the trees installed will be at the Town Hall, Casa de Cultura, CEAM, G&H Dentists, Club Esportiu Gimeno Team, Óptica Passarela, Social Center, Luna de Eufèmia, Academia Limay, El Planet school, Gestoria Sapp, Mayra Salon MM Nails and Casaltea Immobiliària.
