Benidorm will officially launch its festive season on Saturday, 29 November, with a spectacular light and sound show and a special performance by singer Gisela in Plaza de la Navidad (Christmas Square). The event will mark the beginning of Benidorm Christmas 2025 (“Benidodál 2025”), a programme filled with activities that will run until 6 January, featuring children’s shows, traditional games, live music, magic acts and cultural events across the city.
Mayor Toni Pérez, accompanied by the Councillor for Festivals Mariló Cebreros, presented the programme at a press conference, emphasising the city’s commitment to offering “a wide-ranging Christmas schedule, especially designed to bring joy to the youngest members of the family” and to ensure all residents and visitors “experience the most magical time of the year.”
Opening Day: 29 November
The celebrations will begin at 6:00 p.m. with the opening of the Christmas House at the Casa Museu de l'Hort de Colón, where a representative of Santa Claus will welcome children and collect their letters.
At 7:00 p.m., the city’s artistic Christmas lights will be switched on in Plaza de SS MM Reyes de España, followed by a special live performance from Gisela.
A Full Programme Until 6 January
From the opening night onwards, Benidorm will host a broad programme that includes:
Two nativity scenes will also be on display: a monumental nativity in Plaza de SS MM Reyes de España and the traditional nativity by ACR La Barqueta in Tomás Ortuño Street. Both will be open to the public from 6 December to 6 January, with free admission.
Visits from Santa Claus and the Three Kings
A representative of Santa Claus will visit the Christmas House on 29–30 November and on 6, 7, 8, 12, 13, 14, 19, 20, 21, 22 and 23 December, from 12:00–2:00 p.m. and 6:00–8:00 p.m.
The Royal Postman will visit Christmas Square from 2–4 January at 6:00 p.m., collecting letters for the Three Kings.
From 2–5 January, the Three Kings’ Camp will be set up in the gardens surrounding City Hall. The festivities will culminate on the evening of 5 January with the traditional Grand Parade, marking the arrival of Their Majesties.
Mayor Pérez noted that the programme will run initially at weekends, expanding to daily activities once school holidays begin, and hinted at “more surprises” to be revealed closer to the dates.
Cultural Centre Programme
In addition to the activities in Christmas Square, the Department of Culture will host several performances at the Cultural Centre auditorium, including:
“Goosebumps” Magic Show by Mago Hugo – Friday, 26 December, 6:00 p.m.
“Coco: The Musical” – Saturday, 27 December, at 12:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
New Year’s Concert, performed by the Benidorm Musical Union Orchestra and soprano Pepi Lloret

In his closing remarks, Mayor Pérez said:
