Benidorm / 26 March 2026
Local police in Benidorm have arrested a Colombian woman who manages a massage parlor on Atocha Street on charges of drug trafficking. The operation was carried out jointly with Spain’s National Police and forms part of an ongoing inspection campaign targeting massage establishments in the city.
During the raid, officers seized narcotics and cash believed to be linked to illegal activity. Several administrative complaints were also filed against the premises and employees for irregularities uncovered during the inspection.
The operation is part of a broader initiative launched in January 2026, in which Benidorm Local Police have already conducted 15 inspections of massage establishments, focusing on compliance with legal regulations and monitoring for illicit activity.
Authorities emphasise the importance of collaboration between local and national police forces in preventing criminal activity while maintaining public safety. The inspections are expected to continue in the coming months.
This operation highlights ongoing efforts to ensure that tourist-focused areas remain safe, particularly for international visitors, including those from the UK, who make up a significant portion of Benidorm’s tourism.
