There will be prizes for the runners and also a contest to choose the best costumes among children and adults.
Benidorm’s streets will once again fill with festive colour and sporting spirit as the city hosts the 15th edition of the popular San Silvestre race on Sunday, 21 December, starting at 10:00 a.m. Councillor for Sports, Javier Jordá, encouraged runners of all levels to take part in “one of the most fun and vibrant races of the year”.
This year’s event will feature a 6-kilometre route along the Levante Beach promenade, with the start and finish located on Avenida de Europa. Participants can choose from four categories: running, Nordic walking, walking, and children’s races. Registration fees are €12 for adults and €4 for children up to 15 years old.
Bib collection will take place on race day from 8:30 a.m. until 30 minutes before the start.
As part of the festivities, there will be prizes for participants, as well as a costume competition to select the best outfits in both children’s and adult categories, for individuals and groups. The costume contest will be held 15 minutes before the race, while the children’s races will begin at 11:00 a.m. The awards ceremony and prize draw for runners is scheduled for approximately 11:30 a.m.
