The Events and Equality councillors, along with a delegation from the Valencian Community Tourism Authority, have travelled to Seville to promote the Benidorm Fest and Benidorm Pride.
Benidorm City Council, through its Events and Equality departments, is promoting its offerings as an LGBTQ+ destination during the Seville Pride celebrations, with a special focus on two events that are a major attraction for tourists from this group, namely the Benidorm Fest and Benidorm Pride, held in September. This initiative, in which the councilors of both departments, Jesús Carrobles and Ángela Zaragozí, are participating, is the result of the collaboration agreement signed at the last edition of the Madrid International Tourism Fair, Fitur, between the city councils of the resort city and the capital of Seville to collaborate in the promotion of their Pride festivities and give visibility to both events and the LGBTI+ offerings in both cities.
Benidorm's Councilor for Events, Jesús Carrobles, recalled that "this collaboration arose after several contacts with the Seville City Council, through its Councilor for Equality, Juan Luis García, to forge synergies between both local administrations and give even greater visibility to the Pride celebrations."
Along with the municipal delegation, the Director General of Tourism of the Generalitat Valenciana, Israel Martínez, and staff from Turisme Comunitat Valenciana also traveled to Seville. Today, they held a working meeting at the city's promotional stand with the Mayor of Seville, José Luis Sanz, and the Councilor for Equality, Juan Luis García.
