The free activity of the Juan Gil-Albert Institute will start from Boca del Calvari and will pass along the entire Paseo de Poniente to Tossal de La Cala.
Benidorm will host the ‘Cultural Kilometre’ this Saturday – a guided walk designed to connect culture with sport while highlighting some of the city’s most emblematic landmarks.
The initiative, organised by the Juan Gil-Albert Institute of Culture in Alicante in collaboration with Benidorm’s Department of Historical and Cultural Heritage, seeks to promote both physical activity and cultural awareness.
Councillor for Historical and Cultural Heritage, Ana Pellicer, explained that the event “combines a love of culture with the enjoyment of outdoor activity, while showcasing Benidorm’s most important sites.”
The walk will set off at 11:00 a.m. from the Boca del Calvari Museum, before heading towards the Paseo de Poniente, with stops at urban art installations and the Hung Yi swan sculpture, where participants will learn about Benidorm’s large-scale public art exhibitions. The final stop will be in La Cala, where attendees can discover the history of the Tossal de La Cala and its ancient Roman fortification, with the option to climb the site.
Covering a total distance of seven kilometres, the route is suitable for all fitness levels. Participation is free of charge, and registration can be completed via the following link:
